Controversial TCU Horned Frogs star Sedona Prince went undrafted in Monday night’s 2025 WNBA Draft despite being widely regarded as a potential second-round pick, Prince was not one of the 38 women to hear their name called as part of the draft, and women’s basketball fans are widely celebrating that fact.
The 6-foot-7 Texas native averaged 17.2 points, 9.4 rebounds and an NCAA-best 3.0 blocks per game to help lead the Horned Frogs to the Elite Eight for the first time in program history. But while star teammate Hailey Van Lith went in the first round to the Chicago Sky, Prince had no such luck.

Assault And Domestic Violence Allegations Cause Sedona Prince To Go Undrafted
So, why did such a talented player with elite physical traits go undrafted? Well, you can likely look off the court for that reasons. Prince stands accused by not one, not two, not three, but four women of either sexual abuse or domestic violence in recent months. Her attorney recently denied those allegations in a statement to ESPN.
“Sedona has not been charged with a crime or found guilty of any wrongdoing,” he said. “Rather she has been convicted on social media by people who have attempted to use their relationship with Sedona to attract followers and to build their influencer careers and settle grudges. To the extent she has made any mistakes different from other young people in their early dating life it was solely the decision to be on TikTok.”
Of course, any sort of allegation of that severity should be taken seriously. Had it been a single allegation, you might well give Prince the benefit of the doubt and request some sort of hard proof. But it is really hard to do so with so many different accusers. Again, Prince is innocent until proven guilty, but it’s certainly not the best of looks.
Which is why are large portion of WNBA fans were joyous when they learned Prince was not selected on Monday night.
“I don’t think i’ve ever seen an athlete more universally hated by its sports fan base than Sedona Prince,” one fan tweeted.
“Sedona Prince didn’t get drafted and that is hilarious,” said another.
