PGA Tour player Wesley Bryan was supposed to be playing in this weekend’s Puntacana Championship in Mexico. Instead, Bryan is forced to watch the event after the tour recently suspended him for his appearance in a LIV Golf-sponsored event. Rather than stay at home on the couch, however, Bryan still attended the event and was photographed watching play from outside the ropes and looking none too happy about it.

“No, I don’t have regrets,” Bryan told Monday Q about his appearance “The Duels: Miami,” a YouTube match filmed at the Miami LIV event. “That video is one of the most powerful videos in YouTube golf.” Bryan added, “We are going to continue to support Grant and grow the game through YouTube.”

But Bryan may well have been rethinking that statement while at Puntacana on Thursday. The 35-year-old, who is more well known for his YouTube page than his PGA Tour success, looked on longingly as the event unfolded in front of him. Ironically, Bryan’s lone PGA Tour win came eight years ago at the RBC Heritage, which is one of tour’s signature events and is taking place this week opposite the Puntacana Championship.

Monday Q reports that Bryan is at the Puntacana Resort this weekend because he had planed a vacation with his family to coincide with the event.

“We had this vacation planned for months, so I decided we would still come down,” Bryan said. “It’s been a long time since we had a family vacation where golf wasn’t involved.”

Ironically, fellow golf YouTuber Grant Horvat, who also participated in “The Duels: Miami,” recently received a sponsors invite to a PGA Tour event later this season. Horvat has over two millions views for “The Duels: Miami” on his YouTube page.

Notably, however, he is not a member of the PGA Tour, meaning he is not limited in the events he can take part in.
