These days, Oklahoma City Thunder general manager Sam Presti is known as the architect of the reigning NBA champions and one of the brightest minds in the game. But one point in his life, Presti was known, if even only by a small few, as an underground Jazz musician.
That’s right, in either the 90s or early 2000s, Presti moonlighted as a musician and even released two albums, with the first titled “Milk Money.” The album, which Presti seemingly tried to keep hidden, was a fusion of Jazz and R&B and even featured the Thunder GM rapping at times!
Somehow, the albums and Presti’s secret side career, managed to stay under wraps. That is, until an episode of “Pablo Torre Finds Out” where the host, Pablo Torre, reveals that he found hard copies of Presti’s music and plays it for the audience.
And honestly, it wasn’t that bad! Presti didn’t say anything problematic and, all told, the music itself could have been much, much worse. But when asked about it on Monday, it still seemed as if Presti was a little embarrassed about the world finding out.

“This was a long, long time ago when I was in college,” Presti told a reporter with a sheepish grin on his face. “I certainly didn’t expect it to become public – part of the public record. But yeah, we did a couple of those and it was a great experience for me, getting to be around so many people.”
Presti went on to say he hoped that only the second of his two albums got unearthed, but that now he’s able to laugh over it. So are we, Sam. So are we.
