Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti talked a lot of trash prior to the first game of the 12-team College Football Playoff against Notre Dame. He was forced to eat his words after a blowout loss in South Bend.
Not only did the Fighting Irish quickly humble the boisterous personality with a dominant performance on the field, they were ruthless toward the 63-year-old in the locker room.
However, one such occurance was captured on video and it does not reflect well on the Catholic values of the 182-year-old university! Junior Jaylen Sneed called Cignetti a “b—-” while his teammate streamed live on Instagram. He immediately regretted his decision.
Sneed made two solo tackles and a tackle for loss against the Hoosiers. The 6-foot-1, 224-pound linebacker was flying all over the field throughout all four quarters.
Think team speed is important? Watch Jaylen Sneed and Leonard Moore recover and run this play down, not allowing the IU receiver to get to the sideline. Another play that was set up well by the OC, but Notre Dame out athleted them. pic.twitter.com/6p9XhkWkxu

Not long after the game went final, fellow linebacker Jaiden Ausberry went live on Instagram. Sneed joined him at his locker not long thereafter and approached the camera to present an explicit message. It was for Cignetti.
Record this and send this to Cig, man. F— that n—-, man. That n—- a b—-!
— Jaylen Sneed
As soon as he said what he said, Sneed had a moment of panic when someone shouted “AY!” from off-camera. You can see the fear in his eyes. Ausberry quickly shut down the stream.

To be fair to Sneed, he isn’t wrong…
Cignetti talked a lot of trash in the days — even hours — leading up to kickoff only for Indiana to get its doors blown off. All of the descriptors thrown in his direction by the victorious opponent were not inaccurate, especially after a mind-boggling punt during the fourth quarter. It was a “b—-” move!
With that being said, Notre Dame holds itself to a standard of class and professionalism. Jaylen Sneed’s choice of language does not meet that expectation. The coaching staff will likely give him a stern slap on the wrist in the coming days. Maybe don’t go live in the locker room next time?!
