Nikki Bella finalized her divorce from Artem Chigvintsev back in November and it has now been revealed that she has to pay him a huge amount in child support as well as a six-figure sum split up into two payments. The former WWE superstar apparently earns far more money than the Russian-born professional dancer.
As part of the divorce settlement, Nikki Bella, 41, must pay Chigvintsev $3,500 per month in child support for their son Matteo. She also has to pay her 42-year-old Dancing with the Stars ex-husband $200,000 in two lump sum payments: $100,000 now and another $100,000 by the end of 2025.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Nikki is also responsible for paying almost five-year-old Matteo’s speech therapist, but the couple will split the cost of all of their kid’s “extracurricular activities.”
The couple will split up the major holidays when it comes to custody of Matteo. Nikki had initially sought full custody, but a judge granted Chigvintsev joint custody during a subsequent court hearing. The Barmageddon host also gets to keep her trusts and business interests, including Stephanie Nicole Garcia Entertainment and Bonita Bonita.
Their divorce comes after Chigvintsev was booked into Napa County Jail on a felony domestic violence charge on August 29, 2024. On September 24, 2024, Napa County District Attorney’s Office announced that her office would not be filing any charges against Chigvintsev due to a lack of evidence.
The “decision to not file charges against Mr. Chigvintsev was made after a thorough review of the criminal investigation and careful evaluation of the evidence presented to the DA’s Office,” DA Allison Haley said at the time.
Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev were married for two years. They began dating in January 2019 and got engaged in January 2020. Nikki gave birth to their son on July 31 of that same year, and the couple got married on August 26, 2022.
