Notre Dame and college football coach Marcus Freeman received yet another commitment from Thomas Davis Jr. The four-star recruit reaffirmed his pledge to the Fighting Irish while in South Bend for an official visit.
His older sister traveled with him to Indiana and provided a behind-the-scenes look at the weekend.
Davis Jr., who goes by TJ, is the son of three-time Pro Bowler Thomas Davis Sr. The 16-year NFL linebacker was drafted with the No. 14 overall pick in 2005 out of Georgia, where he was a consensus All-American as a senior. His son plays the same position. He is one of the 10-best linebackers in the college football recruiting Class of 2026 and a top-200 prospect overall.
Although Davis Sr.’s alma mater made a late push for Jr., he is not going to flip. He closed his recruitment.
I’m locked in, this place is special and there’s nowhere else I’d rather be. I’m excited for this journey. Go Irish!
— Thomas Davis Jr.
This latest assertion comes just a few days after Thomas Davis traveled north to visit Notre Dame. TJ’s “content creator sister” documented the entire trip.
It included a visit to the stadium, golf, photoshoots and a party at the house of Marcus Freeman.
Here is a behind-the-scenes look at the first 36 hours of their visit:
The party at Marcus Freeman’s crib was the highlight of the weekend. He and his wife, Joanna, went all out. They had an open bar, full iced tea and lemonade station next to the buffet with charcuterie and desserts, an in-house barber, coloring books, and a DJ. The coach’s custom basketball court is sweet.
Needless to say, TJ Davis’ family had a great time at Notre Dame’s house party. He also had a good enough time on the visit to see what he needed to see. The Bulldogs can try all they want to get him to flip but he is set on the Fighting Irish. It was his latest trip to South Bend that sealed the deal!
