Logan Paul is significantly better at pro wrestling than he has any business being for someone with just 20 WWE matches on their resume. But superstar influences is catching heat after he was caught stealing a move that he claimed had “never been done before.”
For the uninitiated, moves get “stolen” in pro wrestling all the time. There are only so many things you can physically do, and it’s generally accepted among wrestlers that other people – usually in other promotions – will have the same moves as them.

Logan Paul Tries To Explain Why
But here’s where Paul gets himself into trouble. The 30-year-old claims that he was the first person to ever do a twisting springboard moonsault in WWE when he landed the move at “WWE SummerSlam 2024.”
Shortly afterward, WWE fans flooded the internet with videos of former Mexican superstar Super Crazy hitting the move more than two decades before Paul. But according to Paul, it’s not the same.
“Alright, a ton of people have sent me this video, here’s what I have to say,” Paul said in a TikTok responding to the allegations. “As a professional WWE wrestler, when I say ‘move,’ to me that word means the entire sequence, right? Start to finish. Which, obviously, includes the landing.
“When I did my twist 180-degree moonsault out of the ring, I only landed on one guy. This dude had four guys to catch him. Still super impressive, but there’s four guys to catch you – eight arms.”
Paul argued that the odds of success are much higher when you have far more wrestlers to catch you.
And, look, he has a point. Super Crazy’s version of the move was safer than Paul’s. But that doesn’t mean it’s not the same move, and fans aren’t buying the explanation.
“In other words ‘yes the move has been done before and I’m trying to brain wash you to what I did was better than what he did,'” one TikTok commenter said.
“So the move has been done before,” said another.
Ultimately, the move was incredible enough on its own. Paul didn’t have to make false claims about nobody else doing it. But as is often the case with the Paul brothers, Logan’s mouth wrote a check that he could not cash, and now he’s stuck dealing with the fallout of that.
