Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin and Bachelor Nation alumnus Tyler Cameron are unlikely friends. Maybe not after their latest interaction…
Cameron accidentally trolled Kiffin over his most heartbreaking loss in the national championship at USC.
Kiffin usually returns to his former place of work during the college football offseason for vacation. Boca Raton has some of the best deep sea fishing in the world and the 50-year-old is a big outdoorsman. He somehow always seems to catch his biggest fish at times when other things are going on in his life and often leverages his yield to troll other coaches in the SEC. It’s hilarious.
With SEC Coaches Meetings underway in Destin this week, Lane Kiffin took the opportunity to get back to Florida ahead of his mandatory obligations. He and his family got to enjoy each other’s company and eat some good food, including fish they caught that morning.
Lane also made sure to get out to the ocean for a fishing charter with captain Hunter Clarks.
His ex-wife, with whom he has since rekindled, joined him on the water!
Unfortunately, Lane Kiffin had to be reminded of his past while on vacation — and not in a fun way, even though he had fun with it.
Tyler Cameron also frequents to Boca Raton. The former Bachelor sensation just so happened to be on the docks at the same time as the former FAU head coach. His choice of hat was an accidental dig. It featured the 2006 Rose Bowl between USC and Texas.
Kiffin was the offensive coordinator for the top-ranked Trojans at the time. The Longhorns were No. 2.
USC chose to go for it on 4th-and-2 during the fourth quarter. A first down would’ve sealed the win but LenDale White somehow came up just a few inches short. Texas got the ball back. Vince Young famously scrambled into the end zone for the game-winning touchdown.
Cameron, who was only 13 years old when the legendary game was played, took a shot at Kiffin’s (and Steve Sarkisian and Pete Carroll’s) play-call after bumping into him over the weekend. Ice cold!

Lane Kiffin is a completely different person today than he was in 2006. Although he (and all USC fans like myself) may never get over that loss, he has lived a lot of life over the last two decades and can finally make a joke about that devastating defeat. It certainly helps that it was able to involve Tyler Cameron. Both guys know a thing or two about good content!
