The Cocodona 250 ultra-marathon took place last weekend across Central and Northern Arizona. I believe it is worth emphasizing how outrageous it is that the Cocodona 250 ultra-marathon is so long, 250 miles, that is snakes across two portions of the 6th largest US state.

This race brings out the most elite endurance athletes on earth. Dan Green set a new course record, completing the Cocodona 250 in just 58 hours, 47 minutes, and 18 seconds for an average pace of 13:47/mi. That is an absolutely wild speed for a race that lasted 5 days for some of the competitors.

Andy Glaze was also in the field. He completed the 250-mile race with a total time of 106 hours, 56 minutes, and 53 seconds. Glaze also documented his grueling 250-mile ultra-marathon, capturing videos of the highs and lows along the way, and his video has since gone viral on TikTok (YouTube version below for the better UX). This is a great ego check for anyone that might be feeling really in shape lately:

I cannot imagine being out there for 2.5-5+ days, running my body beyond any limits I could ever imagine, and pushing myself to that 250-mile finish line. With that said, I’ve had a torn meniscus for years so my distance running days are behind me, sadly. Otherwise I might be lured into this sport due to how crazy devoted these ultra-marathoners are.

Glaze also uploaded solo clips from the 2025 Cocodona 250, including some foot care. He has one video on how he prepares his feet for a 250-mile race which evidently didn’t work because he suffered trenchfoot out there:

As an OnCloud wearer, I’m immediately swayed by his Hoka’s here. If they are good enough for someone running a 250-mile race across Arizona then they’re good enough for me who works out 7 days a week but still gets gassed doing HIIT or spin classes.

Cocodona 250 Results

Our dude Andrew (Andy) Glaze above finished in 75th place overall. There were a total of 190 runners to complete the 250-mile race this year.

The top 5 men’s finishers for the 2025 Cocodona 250 were:

1. Dan Green – 58:47:18
2. Ryan Sandes – 61:21:04
3. Edher Ramirez – 63:10:13
4. Harry Subertas – 65:28:53
5. Finn Melanson – 66:29:40

And the top 5 women’s finishers in this year’s race were:

1. Rachel Entrekin – 63:50:55
2. Lindsey Dwyer – 79:35:28
3. Sarah Ostaszewski – 80:25:31
4. Shelby Farrell – 85:26:23
5. Melissa Browne – 85:45:23

Rachel Entrekin not only repeated as the winner after finishing 1st in 2024, she set a course record this year just like the top men’s finisher, Dan Green, and she finished with the 4th fastest overall time.

Also, Mark Zuckerberg’s sister Randi Zuckerberg completed the race. Posting about it on Threads, she listed her stats as “257 miles across Arizona, 36,000+ feet of elevation, 6 total hours of sleep across 5 days, Insane amounts of Coca Cola & cookies consumed,65 miles done on a busted shin/ankle.”
