UNC Head Coach Bill Belichick has been in the news for all of the wrong reasons lately, and it deals with his 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson. Many believe that Hudson has been intruding too much on Belichick’s life and coaching career, and a recent network television interview fanned the flames of said belief.
On Sunday, Hudson, a pageant queen, competed in the Miss Maine USA Pageant with the hopes to win it and move on to the Miss USA competition later this year. But, unlike Belichick’s six Super Bowl teams, she fell short, and took third.
Hudson, who is 48 years Belichick’s junior, seems to be everywhere Belichick is these days, acting as a pseudo PR rep for the legendary coach. An interview for CBS News turned into a disaster, as Hudson interrupted the conversation when Bill was asked how they met, saying that he wasn’t going to talk about that. Rumors are that she’s been quite the factor inside the UNC football program, and famed sports journalist Pablo Torre reported that she had been banned from the UNC facility last week. UNC pushed back on it, but Torre stuck by his reporting.
Needless to say, this has brought about a lot of controversy for the couple. But, on Sunday, Hudson was back to doing what she does best, competing in a pageant with Bill in tow.
She didn’t get it done, though. She took third, and will not advance to the Miss USA pageant.
Bill Belichick was never much a fan of anything other than first place. But, I’m sure it won’t convince him to break up with Hudson.
